A cool, modern pin-up lounges on the front stoop of a lively green shotgun house, dressed in her Jazz Fest tee, shorts with suspenders, and a felt hat tipped with a feather. An Abita beer rests nearby, while a fence draped in Mardi Gras beads adds that unmistakable touch of everyday NOLA sparkle.

Oversized magnolias bloom against a sky framed by sprawling live oaks, and French Creole–style shutters and funky porch signs give the home its unmistakable charm. Hipster on Gentilly offers a warm, colorful glimpse into the neighborhood’s culture—easygoing, artsy, rooted in tradition yet always reinventing itself.
