Set within the shadowy grounds of Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, a snake-charmer pin-up—crowned in a dramatic headdress and adorned with a full-body serpent tattoo—leans over a voodoo altar near Marie Laveau’s tomb. Tarot cards scatter the background, potions glint on cracked stone, and coils of snakes wind through skulls and bones sinking into the earth. A pair of gators lurk in the murky background as a weathered No Trespassing sign stands guard, adding tension and grit to the scene.

Above it all, the bayou air hangs heavy as the pin up priestess tosses dice, blending fate, folklore, and femme power into a single gesture. Betty Bones exaggerates the pop-culture image of the New Orleans mystic while honoring the cultural depth behind it—embracing the shadows, symbolism, and spiritual traditions that continue to shape the city’s mythos.
