Bayou Tea Party — Fine Art Giclée Print

About the Work

Part of the Rococo on the Bayou series, Bayou Tea Party merges the refined elegance of 18th-century leisure with the lush, unpredictable spirit of Louisiana’s wilds. Seated at a crisp white tea table, a timeless, vintage-inspired woman lounges gracefully in her blue afternoon gown, poised in a moment of serene indulgence. The park-like dreamscape—evoking the dappled charm of Audubon Park—unfolds around her with soft greenery and filtered light, yet just beyond the table’s delicate porcelain, the bayou teems with watchful gators drifting through the water like living motifs.

Rendered with layered textures and ornate floral detailing, Bayou Tea Party plays with contrasts: gentility and wilderness, ornament and instinct, civility and the untamed. It captures the essence of Rococo on the Bayou—a world where beauty emerges from the unexpected meeting of elegance and wild nature.
