Bayou Promenade — Fine Art Giclée Print

About the Work

Bayou Promenade blends Rococo elegance with Southern-Gothic atmosphere, depicting a finely dressed woman poised on a tightrope above a murky, alligator-filled bayou. Surrounded by humid cypress shadows, luminous birds, and watchful reptilian forms, she moves with graceful detachment, her opulent attire contrasting sharply with the lurking wildness below. Both playful and haunting, the piece captures a moment of suspended tension where beauty meets danger, echoing the larger themes of Rococo on the Bayou—a world in which decadence drifts through the swamp and the surreal flourishes in unexpected places
